Jeff Lawrence

Jeff is a co-founder and President of the Common Grant Application; founder and Trustee of The Lawrence Foundation and President, and founder and CEO of Clivia Systems. Jeff also sits on the UCLA Henry Samueli School of Engineering Dean's Executive Board.

The Common Grant Application system is a Web-based grant management system for grantmakers and scholarship providers. The Lawrence Foundation is a family foundation that makes grants to non-profit organizations.

Jeff was formerly a Board Member of Guidance Software (NASDAQ:GUID) which provides forensic, e-discovery and endpoint security software; formerly served as Chief Technology Officer of Intel's Network Communications Group and was also the co-founder, President, and CEO of Trillium Digital Systems (which was acquired by Intel in 2000). Trillium developed and licensed communications software to telecommunications equipment manufacturers.

Jeff has over 40 years of experience in the development of software, hardware, and systems for wireless, broadband, Internet, and telephone networks and Web applications. Jeff received a BS in Electrical Engineering from UCLA in 1979 and was co-recipient of the Greater Los Angeles Entrepreneur of the Year award and the UCLA School of Engineering's Professional Achievement award. Jeff writes and speaks on technology, business, philanthropy, economics, and ethics.

Jeff has written numerous articles about technology, communications and security. He has also spoken at or moderated almost 100 conferences, seminars, universities and trade shows throughout the world about business, technology and the non-profit industries.
